Complete Bathroom Renovation in Munich

The Brief

The owners of a Munich home had a dated, tired bathroom that no longer suited the way they live. They wanted a complete renovation: a modern, open feel, a generous level-access walk-in shower, and a proper bath, all finished in warm, hard-wearing stone tiling. The job needed to be handled from one hand, from the first plan through to the last tile.

What We Did

The work included:

• Full strip-out: The old bathroom was taken back to bare walls and floor, with the existing fixtures and pipework carefully removed.
• New pipework: Fresh supply and waste runs were set out and pressure-tested before anything was closed in, so the bathroom stays dry for the long term.
• Level-access walk-in shower: The wet area was tanked and waterproofed, with a linear drain set dead level and a built-in niche and bench formed in the tiling.
• Tiled-in bath: A bath was framed and tiled in to match the room, with a wall-mounted mixer.
• Stone tiling throughout: Large-format stone-look tiles were laid on the walls and floor with consistent, straight joints and clean cuts around every fixture.
• Final fit-out: Shower fittings, taps and finishing details were installed and tested before handover.

The Result

A bright, modern bathroom that feels far larger than before, with a walk-in shower and a tiled-in bath set against warm stone tiling. Everything was carried out by one tradesman, so the pipework, waterproofing, tiling and fit-out all line up to a single high standard.

Job duration: Around two weeks from strip-out to final handover.
