Loft Ensuite Conversion
An unused attic turned into a modern ensuite bathroom
The Brief
An unused attic space in a Munich home had real potential but no function. The owners wanted to turn it into a bright, modern ensuite bathroom that made the most of the roof line and the natural light from the skylight. The project pulled together three trades: interior fit-out, tiling and sanitary installation.
What We Did
The work included:
- Interior fit-out: The attic was lined and built out with drywall, with the layout planned around the sloping roof and the existing skylight.
- Services routed in: Supply and waste pipework was run into the new space and set out for the shower, WC and basin before the surfaces were closed in.
- Large-format tiling: Light-grey large-format tiles were laid on the walls and floor to keep the space feeling open and bright.
- Black rainfall walk-in shower: A level-access walk-in shower with a black rainfall head and a glass screen, tanked and waterproofed underneath.
- Final fit-out: The basin, WC and fittings were installed and tested, finishing the room ready for use.
The Result
A bright, modern ensuite where there was once dead attic space. The large-format tiling and the skylight keep the room feeling open, and the black fixtures give it a clean, contemporary edge. One tradesman handled the fit-out, tiling and sanitary work, so it all comes together seamlessly.
